UKIP’s popularity in Weston-super-Mare is dramatically rising, and bookmakers currently have PPC Ernie Warrender down as second favourite to win the seat. Ernie, who opened his shop in late November, is delighted with the support received from within the town.
Said Ernie: “We are now are 10-1 odds at Ladbrookes to win [in Weston]. We had seventy four members when the shop opened, and it was 105 at the end of the year!”
Ernie’s fresh energy, inspiring ideas and vision for the town is attracting interest from outside, and this included a recent visit and interview by the BBC.
If progress continues, the odds of winning, already slashed by the bookmakers, may well be reduced further..
